Con grande ironia e semplicità Stefania si è messa in gioco e ci racconta un po’ della sua storia attraverso le parole di questa intervista e le immagini per lei più significative raccolte in questo album. Our first Interview is dedicated to our friend Stefania Buratto. We know her since a long time and appreciate he’s as author and person. She finally played the game, telling us with simplicity and irony a bit of her story though the few words of this interview and some of her preferred images collected in this album. Big thanks Stefania and enjoy you all!
D: La passione per la fotografia è per te un fatto ereditario? L’hai respirata nell’ambiente familiare?
R: Il primo in famiglia che mi ha parlato di fotografia è stato mio suocero una decina di anni fa…uomo curioso ed eclettico ha iniziato a mostrarmi le stampe dei suoi scatti in bianco e nero da lui stesso sviluppate…sono sempre stata affascinata da questo suo dono, ma pensavo fosse qualcosa di troppo complesso, una roba misteriosa da alchimisti che richiedeva tanto studio, preparazione, attrezzature costose…la pittura e il disegno erano più nelle mie corde… Più immediati ed istintivi…In realtà poi con l’avvento del digitale ho capito che pittura e fotografia sono parenti strette…quando disegno ho in testa un’immagine ben precisa…proprio come una foto.
Q: Where does the passion for photography come? Is it something that comes from your family?
A: I’ve always been fascinated by this practice , but I thought it was something too complex, a mysterious stuff, which required a lot of study, preparation, expensive equipment, painting and drawing were more in my comfort zone, more immediate and instinctive. In fact then with the advent of digital I realized that painting and photography are very close to each other, as I draw I always realize that I have a very precise image in my mind,… just like a photograph. My father-in-low was the first one in my family who told me about photography.
